Picea abies 'Pendula'
Picea abies 'Pendula' is a weeping form of Norway spruce, with a narrow, pendulous, and sculptural habit, whose branches cascade down a often staked trunk. This unique silhouette makes it a strong architectural element, perfect for a solitary planting, at an entrance, or in a collector's garden. Its dense and uniform dark green foliage retains its color all year round, and the light brown pendant cones add discreet seasonal interest. Very hardy, tolerant of various soils, and resistant to cold and pollution, 'Pendula' requires little maintenance once well established. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun exposure. This variety brings form, verticality, and movement to landscape designs, with a very graphic and durable character.
