Cultivation method:

Sow 'Plum Regal' tomato seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last expected frost. Maintain a temperature of 70 to 75°F (21 to 24°C) to encourage rapid germination, usually in 5 to 10 days. Prick out seedlings when they are 4 inches (10 cm) tall, then acclimate them gradually before transplanting them into the ground after the last frost.

Plant young plants in well-drained, organically rich soil, spacing them 2 to 30 inches apart to ensure good development. Bury part of the stem to strengthen the root system. Determinate plants of this variety do not need staking, but a light support can be used to manage the heavy fruit.
