How to Grow:
Direct sow outdoors in late May or early June once the soil has warmed, as basil is sensitive to temperatures below 15°C. Plant seeds 4 mm deep, spaced 6 mm apart, and thin to 20-25 cm once seedlings emerge. For an earlier start, sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost at 21°C for germination in 7 to 10 days. Continue growing at 21°C, then harden off and transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed.
Dark Opal Basil is perfect for borders and containers, adding vibrant color and bold aroma to your garden while providing flavorful leaves for culinary delights all season long.
