The 'Ha'Ogen' melon is an exquisite and rare variety , renowned for its juicy, ultra-sweet and fragrant green flesh . Weighing between 3 and 4 pounds (1.5 to 2 kg) and measuring 15 to 20 cm in diameter , it is easily recognizable by its rind which changes from green to yellow-green when ripe .


Of Hungarian origin, this melon was perfected in Israel in the 1950s , where it became a benchmark among the tastiest green-fleshed melons . Awarded the AGM (Award of Garden Merit) in 1993 , it has established itself as a safe bet for gourmet gardeners .


Very productive and well adapted to cool climates , it is one of the best choices for growing in zone 4b .
