Sideoats Grama ( Bouteloua curtipendula ), or short prairie grass, offered by the seed company Northern Wildflowers, is a perennial plant native to the prairies of the Western Hemisphere, from Canada to Argentina.
With its graceful habit and mature red and purple hues, this grass is ideal for natural landscaping. Non-aggressive and semi-clumping, it blends well with other grasses and wildflowers, adding texture and color to prairie gardens.

Cultivation method:
Sow Sideoats Grama grass seeds directly in spring into dry to moderately moist soil. Plant seeds about 1/4 inch deep and provide full sun to partial shade. This grass is easy to care for, drought tolerant once established, and blooms from September to October.
