Planting and Care:
This variety thrives in rich, warm, sandy loam soil. Work the soil 30 cm deep with compost before planting. Wait until the soil warms to at least 18 °C. Build mounds 15–20 cm high and 30–60 cm in diameter, spacing them 120 cm apart. Sow 6–8 seeds per mound at 2 cm depth. After germination (7–10 days), thin to 3–4 plants per mound. For straighter fruits, grow on a trellis. Water consistently to prevent drought stress, which can lead to bitterness. Harvest fruits gently with a sharp knife to avoid damaging the plant.
