The Rose of Jericho

The "Frankenstein" plant that comes back to life.

A dry ball, almost lifeless in appearance. Add water.
And it opens slowly, as if it were coming back to life. A spectacle guaranteed.

Rose of Jericho Care

A fascinating and unique plant. Here is how to activate it and enjoy its spectacular resurrection effect.

Activation

Place the plant in a shallow dish with a small amount of water. Within hours, it will begin to unfold and turn green.

Water

Change the water every 1–2 days to prevent odors. Do not keep the plant fully submerged at all times.

Dormancy

After 5 to 7 days in water, remove it and allow it to dry completely so it returns to its original curled form.

Light

Place it in bright but indirect light. Avoid direct sun exposure.

The 3 Most Common Mistakes

The Rose of Jericho is spectacular, but it needs the right rhythm. Here are three common mistakes to avoid for a clean, long-lasting, impressive display.

Keeping It in Water Constantly

Keeping it soaking nonstop can cause odors and damage its structure. Alternate: a few days of activation, then let it fully dry.

Dirty or Stagnant Water

Stagnant water quickly becomes an issue. Change it regularly and use only a shallow layer to activate the plant.

Direct Sun & Heat

Direct sun and heat dry it too fast and reduce the “resurrection” effect. Choose bright, always indirect light.
