These mild peppers, slightly unpredictable with their moderate heat ( 4,000 Scoville units ), are ideal for mole sauces, stuffed or dried. The fruits, measuring up to 6 inches, turn from dark green to deep red when ripe, offering a rich, slightly smoky flavor.
Cultivation method :
Sow indoors from mid-February to late March in a soilless mix. Bury seeds 6mm deep and maintain a temperature of 21°C to encourage rapid germination (10-20 days). Transplant seedlings after hardening off in late May to early June to a location in full sun with well-drained soil. Space seedlings 30cm apart in rows 60cm apart. For best harvest, support seedlings with stakes and water regularly.
