Organic Italian Tomato ‘Audrey Love’s’ (Solanum lycopersicum) is a compact, productive annual variety valued for its Italian-type fruits with spectacular purple skin striped with red. With plants reaching 90 to 120 cm (3 to 4 ft), it brings strong ornamental value to family vegetable gardens, deep containers, and edible landscapes while remaining easier to place than many large vigorous tomatoes. Germination usually takes 7 to 14 days when seedlings receive proper warmth and light. After the last frosts, hardened-off plants can be transplanted into full sun, in fertile, organic-rich, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil. It grows easily in a large container at least 45 cm (18 in) deep, on a patio or in the vegetable garden. A stake, regular watering, organic mulch, and moderate fertilization support good production.
