Blue verbena

Blue verbena (Verbena hastata), offered by seed company Northern Wildflowers, is an attractive native perennial that beautifies naturalized gardens with its spikes of blue-purple flowers.

Growing to between 60 and 150 cm in height, this plant provides a splash of colour from July to September. Suitable for sites in full sun and average to moist soils, it attracts pollinators such as butterflies and bees, making it an excellent choice for promoting biodiversity.
