Chervil is an annual herb prized for its finely cut leaves and delicate taste reminiscent of a mixture of parsley and anise. Used in the famous French blend "fines herbes", it is ideal for flavoring salads, soups and sauces. Measuring between 50 and 100 cm in height, it is also an effective decoy plant against pests such as slugs.

How to grow:

Sow directly outdoors in average, well-drained soil in bright, indirect light from early May. A second planting can be done in August to early September. Do not cover seeds with soil. For indoor starts, use plantable containers filled with a soilless mix 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Maintain a temperature of 70°F (21°C) for germination in 7 to 10 days, then acclimate the seedlings before transplanting outdoors. Space the seedlings 10 inches (25 cm) apart.

Chervil is a must-have herb for lovers of fine cuisine, offering a subtle flavor and a touch of sophistication to your dishes.
