Easy to grow, Sunflower 'Colour Fashion Mixed' prefers a full sun position and well-drained soil. Sow directly outdoors in late May, 6-12mm deep, spacing seeds 7.5-10cm apart. Once seedlings have emerged, thin or transplant to space plants 30-45cm apart.
For an early start, start seeds 2-3 weeks before last frost indoors in peat pots or Jiffy 7's at 70°F (21°C). Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors. Water regularly and fertilize twice during the season with a granular fertilizer such as 15-5-15 or equivalent. Germination takes 5-10 days.
