Cornus sericea 'Kelsey's Dwarf'
Cornus sericea ‘Kelsey’s Dwarf’ is a dwarf native shrub highly valued for its compact habit and four-season ornamental interest. This selection forms a low, dense, and spreading silhouette, ideal for small gardens, borders, foreground mass plantings, and naturalistic designs with limited space. Its deciduous medium green foliage turns yellow to reddish in the fall, while in winter, its vibrant red stems provide a remarkable splash of color, even on a small scale. Its discreet spring blooms are followed by white berries appreciated by wildlife. Very hardy and perfectly adapted to Québec conditions, ‘Kelsey’s Dwarf’ tolerates wet soils and offers an excellent compact alternative to larger red osier dogwoods.
