Cosmos 'Bright Light' is a vibrant annual, perfect for brightening up gardens with its vibrant orange and yellow flowers. Easy to grow and very hardy, it adapts to a variety of conditions including poor soils, drought and heat. Plants grow to around 1 metre in height, with a spread of 30-50cm, and produce an abundance of flowers throughout the summer, ideal for beds, borders and bouquets. Cultivation method:

Sow directly in the ground after the last frost or start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Plant seeds 1/4-3/4 inch deep in well-drained soil, spacing plants 12-20 inches apart. Place in full sun to maximize flowering.

This variety tolerates heat and poor soils well, but moderate watering is recommended to maintain continuous blooms. If plants become too tall or heavy, light staking may be necessary to support the flower stems. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage new blooms throughout the season.
