The Courgette "Genovese" from the Jardins de l'Écoumène (Cucurbita pepo) is an old variety appreciated for its tasty fruits and its ease of cultivation. With its thin and smooth skin of light green color, dotted with grayish spots, it is not only beautiful to look at but also delicious to savor, offering an excellent texture and flavor in cooking.

Spread: 1-1.5 meters
Plant height: 30-50 cm
Quantity per pack: Approximately 20 seeds
Companion plants: Corn, beans, peas
Enemy plants: Potatoes, cucumbers

The fruits of the "Genovese" are elongated and measure between 10 and 18 cm in length. Their thin and smooth skin, light green in colour with small greyish spots, makes them easily recognisable. The flesh is white, firm and tasty, with a delicate texture that remains pleasant even if the fruits are picked a little larger than expected. This exceptional quality makes it an excellent choice for both raw and cooked preparations, such as salads, stir-fries, grills and stuffed dishes.

The plant itself prefers well-drained soil and a sunny location. It is distinguished by its open bushy habit, which makes picking zucchini easy, and is particularly productive, providing a generous harvest throughout the summer season.

The "Genovese" Zucchini is ideal for amateur gardeners looking to grow a tasty, aesthetic and productive plant. Its ease of cultivation and exceptional fruit quality make it a must-have for all vegetable gardens, guaranteeing abundant and delicious harvests all summer long.
