Plant seeds 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep, 3 inches (8 cm) apart, with rows 18 to 28 inches (45 to 70 cm) apart. For a continuous harvest, sow every 10 days until mid-July. Maintain even watering during flowering and pod production. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers to prevent excess foliage. Handle plants only when leaves are dry to reduce disease. Germination in about 8 days.
