Forsythia ‘Gold Tide’ is a low-growing, spreading ornamental shrub known for its extremely early spring bloom and highly structured, ground-hugging habit. It forms a dense shrubby groundcover, ideal for slopes, wide borders, and mass plantings where it quickly creates a spectacular bright effect. From late winter or very early spring, its branches are covered in a profusion of bright yellow flowers before the leaves appear, brilliantly announcing the season. Its deciduous, medium-green foliage sometimes takes on a slight yellow tinge in the fall. Very hardy and perfectly suited to Quebec's conditions, ‘Gold Tide’ is easy to cultivate, tolerant, and undemanding, while offering a strong visual impact and excellent ground cover capabilities.
