Cultivation method

Sowing should be done 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost , in an environment maintained between 22 and 28°C for optimal germination. When the plants reach 10 to 15 cm , they can be transplanted into the ground or into a pot after the last frost, with a spacing of 60 cm between each plant.

Provide rich, well-drained soil and full sun exposure to stimulate production. Due to its vigorous growth , sturdy staking is recommended to support its long stems and prevent heavy fruit from breaking the branches.

Watering should be regular but moderate , avoiding wetting the foliage to limit the risk of disease. Mulching at the base will help retain moisture and maintain optimal growth.

The first fruits appear after 75 to 85 days , with abundant production until the first frosts .

Pot culture Possible with a container of at least 25 liters , but a larger one (32L or more) will guarantee optimal yield.

Use and special features

Thanks to its tender flesh and few seeds , 'Tlacolula Pink' is perfect for fresh salads, tomato carpaccios and dishes where the natural sweetness of the fruit is highlighted . Its spectacular appearance also makes it an ideal tomato for markets and gourmet plates .
