Cultivation method
Seeds can be soaked in warm water for 24 hours to speed up germination.
Sowing can be done directly in open ground after the last frosts , or indoors 3 to 4 weeks before planting for an earlier harvest.
Green Finger appreciates well-drained soil, rich in organic matter and full sun exposure . Training the plant on a trellis makes harvesting easier and improves the quality of the fruit by preventing it from touching the ground.
Harvesting and conservation
Harvest cucumbers when they reach 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) long , before they get too big, to ensure the best texture and flavor .
Fresh cucumbers will keep for up to 10 days in the refrigerator , at 10-12°C with 95% humidity .
