The Yellow and Green Panache Pattypan is a highly decorative heirloom variety, known for its small, white, flower-shaped squash adorned with green stripes that give it a unique charm. The bushy, vigorous plants produce abundantly and very early , providing a continuous harvest throughout the summer. Harvested young, this pattypan can be cooked like a summer squash: its tender, sweet flesh is delicious sautéed, grilled, stuffed, or even sliced raw in salads. A reliable, productive variety, perfect for adding color and texture to the vegetable garden.

Farming method
Soak the seeds in lukewarm water for a maximum of 24 hours , then scarify to improve germination.
Start sowing indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost. Transplant outdoors in late May–early June , when the soil temperature reaches 25°C .
Sowing depth: 2.5 cm (1″) .
Space the plants 45 to 60 cm apart, with 60 to 90 cm between rows.
Place in full sun (level 3) and water regularly but moderately (level 2).
Germination in 7 to 10 days between 21 and 35 °C (optimal 27–35 °C).
Maturity: 55–60 days , very early variety.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest young, when the fruits are small and tender , for optimal taste.
For ripe fruit (if left to age):
• hard skin resistant to nail
• rich and uniform color
• stain on the floor turning cream/orange
Leave 2″ of stem to prevent rot.
Store at 10–12 °C with 55–75% humidity .
