Organic Echinacea 'Purple' (Echinacea purpurea) from the seed company Gaia, a purple, robust and honey-producing heirloom perennial

Pale mauve coneflower is a majestic heritage perennial , bearing smooth stems 60 to 150 cm (2–5′) tall topped with solitary, lavender-colored flowers that bloom throughout the summer. Its drooping petals frame a central, purplish-brown, spiny cone that is highly attractive to pollinators. Its rough, widely spaced leaves taper towards the top, giving the plant a slender and graceful appearance. Hardy, long-lived, and prolific, it self-seeds readily and is an essential addition to any bee-friendly or naturalistic garden.
