Chinese forget-me-not 'Firmament' organic
Product Description
Organic Chinese forget-me-not 'Firmament' ( Cynoglossum amabile ) from the seed company Gaia, a bright and refined bloom
The Chinese forget-me-not 'Firmament' is a heritage variety dating back to 1935 , selected for its intense blue flowers , which bring a bright and delicate touch to gardens and bouquets. Unlike common forget-me-nots, this species produces slightly larger flowers , grouped in dense inflorescences , ideal for the production of cut flowers .
Its bushy, airy habit and its ability to self-seed spontaneously make it an easy-to-grow plant , perfect for borders, country beds or long-lasting floral arrangements . Its silvery-green foliage adds beautiful texture to the garden , while its prolonged flowering attracts pollinators and enlivens outdoor spaces until the first frosts .
Did you know?
Unlike the classic forget-me-nots ( Myosotis sylvatica ), the Chinese forget-me-not belongs to the genus Cynoglossum , which is closer to borage. It therefore offers more vigorous growth and better bouquet retention , with strong stems that withstand cutting well.
In the language of flowers, the forget-me-not symbolizes remembrance and fidelity , making it an ideal gift to express sincere attachment .
