Plant in full sun (level 3) in very well-drained soil with minimal watering (level 1). Germination takes 7 to 20 days at temperatures between 15 and 25 °C (optimum 21 °C).
Space the plants 30 to 45 cm apart, with 45 to 60 cm between rows.

If flowering slows down during the summer, prune lightly to stimulate a new flush of flowers.
