Cultivation method

Before sowing, it is recommended to soak the seeds in warm water for up to 12 hours to improve germination. Sowing can be done indoors, 6 weeks before transplanting , or directly in the open ground after the last frosts , when the soil is well warmed.

Okra 'Jambalaya F2' thrives in light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter , in full sun . Plant spacing of 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 cm) is essential to ensure good air circulation and limit disease. Although it tolerates dry conditions , regular watering promotes better fruit production .

Harvesting and conservation

To stimulate production, it is advisable to harvest the pods every 2 to 3 days , when they reach their ideal size . The younger they are picked, the more tender and tasty they remain.

Fresh pods will keep for up to 10 days in a perforated plastic bag or container at 7-10°C . They can also be dried, frozen or pickled for extended use.

With its rapid growth , its compact shape ideal for small spaces and its abundant production , okra 'Jambalaya F2' is a must-have for gardeners looking for a high-performance and tasty variety!
