Farming method
To improve germination, soak the seeds for a maximum of 8 hours in lukewarm water (they will die if soaked longer). Sow directly after the last frost , at a depth of 2.5–5 cm .
Space plants 7 to 10 cm apart and rows 30 cm apart. Germination takes 8 to 10 days at 21 to 31 °C (optimum 26 °C).
Place in full sun (level 3), moderate watering (level 2). For continuous harvesting, sow at 3-week intervals.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the pods are full, straight and bright yellow .
To obtain dried beans , let the pods dry completely on the plant with good air circulation.
Freeze only dried beans , or blanch yellow pods before freezing for fresh use.
