The 'Red Noodle Yard Long' bean is a spectacular Asian heirloom variety, prized for its deep red pods that grow 2 to 3 feet long . Farming method
To improve germination, soak the seeds for a maximum of 8 hours in lukewarm water (longer soaking will result in lost seeds). Sow directly after the last frost at a depth of 2.5–5 cm .
Space the plants 7 to 10 cm apart and the rows 45 to 60 cm apart .
Germination in 10 to 14 days at around 25–26 °C .
Grow in full sun (level 3) with moderate watering (level 2). Provide a sturdy trellis — this bean is very vigorous and grows quickly.
For a continuous harvest, sow every 3 weeks .
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest the pods when they are long, supple and still tender — no need to wait for full maturity for fresh use.
For dried beans , allow the pods to dry completely on the plant, ensuring excellent air circulation.
Store only dry seeds .
