Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds 2.5 cm deep and cover lightly. Germination takes place in 7 to 10 days at 21–25 °C (optimum 21 °C). Transplant outdoors to a sunny location (level 3) with moderate watering (level 2). Space plants 25–30 cm apart, with 40–45 cm between rows. This variety tolerates heat and a variety of soils well.
Harvesting and preservation
The edible flowers can be harvested fresh for salads, teas, or culinary decoration. The aromatic leaves should be used sparingly. Pick regularly to maintain abundant blooms. Dried flowers retain some of their color.
