The 'Purple Beauty' pepper is a remarkable variety that stands out for its intense purple colour when ripe. Compact and bushy, the plant produces square fruits with three or four lobes, which start out green before developing their spectacular purple hue in midsummer. Its flavour is mild, sweet and crunchy , making it an excellent choice for fresh consumption, in salads or grilled. It adds a vibrant touch to dishes , especially when combined with yellow or orange peppers. Selected from the 'Purple Belle' hybrid, it is now an open-pollinated variety, ideal for seed saving.
