Farming method

Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before planting time, about 1 cm deep in warm potting mix. Maintain a temperature of 27–31°C for optimal germination, which usually takes 7 to 21 days. Harden off seedlings to 18–19°C before transplanting. Provide full sun (level 3) and moderate watering (level 2). Space plants 30–45 cm apart and rows 45–60 cm apart. The thick-walled, elongated fruits benefit from good air circulation.


Harvesting and preservation

Harvest the first fruits as soon as they reach a suitable size to encourage continuous production . Picked when yellow and glossy, they offer their bright acidity and optimal crispness. Store them at 10-12°C with 95% relative humidity to maintain their freshness.
