Did you know?

Peppers are botanically fruits , but they are often considered legumes in cooking. The 'Pickler's Gold' turns from green to bright orange when ripe, developing an even sweeter and more intense flavor over time.

Cultivation method

Sow seed 6-8 weeks before planting out , maintaining a temperature of 25-32°C to ensure good germination. Harden off plants before transplanting into the ground when night temperatures exceed 12°C . Plant 1cm (1/2") deep , spacing 30-45cm (12-18") between plants and 45-60cm (18-24") between courses .

Harvesting and storage

Harvest the first fruits as soon as they are at their optimum size , green heads, to further stimulate production . Let some peppers ripen completely on the plant to obtain a richer and sweeter flavor.

Store peppers in a cool, humid place (10-12°C, 95% relative humidity). For longer storage, freeze them in strips or dry them to incorporate into your dishes throughout the year.

With its crisp flesh, vibrant color and deliciously sweet taste , the 'Gold of the Harvester' Pepper is an undisputed vegetable garden staple!
