Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost . Place the seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in a light potting mix, at 23–29 °C , for rapid germination (5–10 days). Reduce watering and nitrogen during hardening off to ensure robust growth.
Transplant once the risk of frost has passed. Space plants 60 to 90 cm (24–36") apart, leaving 120 to 180 cm (4–6') between rows. Provide full sun and regular watering (level 3). Staking is recommended, even for compact plants, to support continued production.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the fruit has fully developed its color and becomes slightly soft. You can also harvest when the fruit shows its first blush , and complete ripening off the vine at 22°C or higher . Store your tomatoes between 12 and 21°C , with a relative humidity of 95% , to maintain their firmness and flavor.
