Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before planting out . Bury seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in light potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 23–29°C until germination (5–10 days). Reduce watering and nitrogen during acclimation to produce sturdy, compact plants.
Transplant outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 30 to 45 cm (12 to 18 inches) apart, with 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6 feet) between rows. Provide full sun (level 3) and regular watering (level 3). The determinate growth habit limits pruning and simplifies management, while ensuring a concentrated harvest.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the red color is fully developed. To advance the harvest, pick the fruit that has already begun to show color , then let it ripen at 22°C or higher outside the vineyard. Store at 12–21°C with 95% relative humidity to maintain firmness.
