Organic 'Orange Peach' tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) from the seed company Gaia, a small, fuzzy, peach-colored tomato that is sweet, juicy, and rich in beta-carotene.

The 'Orange Peach' tomato is a charming and whimsical heirloom variety, born from a chance cross in the fields of James Weaver, a Pennsylvania farmer and renowned expert on heirloom tomatoes. Inspired by the old French variety 'Yellow Peach', it is an even more vibrant version, with round, peach-orange fruits adorned with a slightly fuzzy skin reminiscent of the sweetness of real orchard fruits. Indeterminate and forming bushes about 1 meter tall, it produces generous, sweet, juicy tomatoes weighing 50 to 80 grams , naturally rich in beta-carotene , which further enhances their warm color.

'Orange Peach' brings a truly novel and poetic touch to the vegetable garden: its unexpected appearance, soft texture, and delicately sweet flavor appeal to both gardeners and gourmets. It lends itself equally well to fresh eating and colorful preparations where its pastel hue and bright taste truly shine.

Farming method

Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in a light potting mix and maintain a stable temperature of 23–29°C for germination in 5 to 10 days . Reduce watering and nitrogen during hardening-off to strengthen the seedlings.

Transplant when all risk of frost has passed. Space plants 60 to 90 cm (24 to 36 inches) apart, with 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6 feet) between rows. Provide full sun (level 3) and regular watering (watering level 3) . Provide sturdy support , as the indeterminate, even compact, growth habit can produce numerous fruit clusters.

Harvesting and preservation

Harvest when the fruit has reached its beautiful peach-orange hue. To encourage earlier ripening, pick those that have shown their first signs of color , then let them ripen off the vine at 22°C or higher . Store them between 12 and 21°C with 95% relative humidity to maintain their subtle sweetness and juicy texture.

• Delicious when eaten fresh , where its softness and downy texture are a pleasant surprise.
• Perfect for colorful salads and summer plates

The 'Orange Peach' tomato brings poetry, sweetness and originality to the vegetable garden: a small, tender, luminous and tasty tomato, ideal for those who like to grow unique and charming heritage varieties.
