The 'Speckled Roma ' tomato is an extremely productive, indeterminate heirloom variety prized for its elongated fruits, 7 to 12 cm (3" × 5") long, adorned with striking orange and yellow stripes. These meaty fruits, containing very few seeds, are perfect for making thick sauces, velvety coulis, preserves, or roasted tomatoes. Their dense texture and rich flavor make it a choice variety for both cooks and gardeners seeking a decorative and functional tomato.

Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds 3–6 mm (1/8–1/4") deep in a light potting mix, then maintain a temperature of 23–29°C to encourage rapid germination (5–10 days). Slightly reduce watering and nitrogen application during hardening-off to strengthen the seedlings.
Transplant after the last frost, spacing plants 60 to 90 cm (24 to 36") apart and rows 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6') . Provide full sun (level 3) and regular watering (watering level 3). Sturdy staking is essential to support the weight of the elongated, fleshy fruit.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the fruit has fully developed its tiger-like color and the flesh is firm. For later harvests, pick as soon as the first color appears, then allow to ripen off the vine at 22°C or above . Store between 12 and 21°C with a relative humidity of approximately 95% .
