Organic 'White Queen' Tomato
Organic 'White Queen' tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) from the seed company Gaia, a vigorous and generous heirloom variety with creamy fruit
The 'White Queen' tomato is an elegant heirloom variety, renowned for its high productivity once established. Although seedlings are somewhat slow to start, the plants become extremely vigorous and can reach an impressive height of 1.2 to 2.4 m (4 to 8 ft). They then produce large quantities of beautiful, creamy-white fruit with sweet, juicy, and delicately fragrant flesh. Their flavor is subtle, balanced, and less acidic than that of red tomatoes, making them ideal for salads, fresh dishes, or for creating elegant, pale sauces.

Farming method
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Place the seeds 3 to 6 mm (1/8 to 1/4") deep. Maintain a temperature of 23 to 29°C for rapid germination (5 to 10 days). During hardening off, slightly reduce watering and nitrogen application to strengthen the seedlings.
Transplant outdoors once the risk of frost has passed. Space plants 60 to 90 cm (24 to 36 inches) apart in rows 120 to 180 cm (4 to 6 feet) apart. Provide full sun (level 3) and consistent watering (watering level 3). Sturdy staking is essential due to the height of the plants and the weight of the fruit.
Harvesting and preservation
Harvest when the fruit has fully developed its creamy color and the flesh is slightly soft. To advance the harvest, pick when the fruit shows its first hint of yellow and let it ripen off the vine at 22°C or above.
Store the fruit at a temperature between 12 and 21 °C, with a relative humidity of approximately 95%.
