Thanks to its thin skin and easy-to-bite size, it is perfect for children , who love its unique appearance and balanced taste.
Did you know?
The 'Indigo Rose' tomato is one of the first varieties rich in anthocyanins , natural pigments with powerful antioxidant properties , similar to those found in blueberries, blackberries and black grapes. These compounds help protect cells from oxidative stress , reduce inflammation and preserve cardiovascular health.
But that's not all! Anthocyanins are also known for:
Their role in strengthening the immune system by helping the body fight free radicals
Their beneficial effect on vision , in particular protecting the eyes against blue light and eye fatigue
Their potential contribution to the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases , such as Alzheimer's, thanks to their protective effects on brain cells
Their action on the regulation of blood sugar , which makes them an interesting ally for people monitoring their blood sugar levels
So, in addition to being a delight for the taste buds, the 'Indigo Rose' Tomato is a real superfood to grow in your vegetable garden!

Plant 3-6 mm (1/8-1/4") deep , spacing plants 60-90 cm (24-36") apart and rows 120-180 cm (4-6') . This indeterminate variety requires strong staking , as it produces an abundance of fruit throughout the season.
Harvesting and storage
Harvest tomatoes when their skin turns red at the base and deep purple on top . The longer they are exposed to the sun, the more intense their color will be. For best flavor , let them ripen on the vine or harvest them slightly green to ripen off the vine at 72°F (22°C).
Store tomatoes at room temperature , in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. For best storage, place them in a cool place (12-21°C) with a relative humidity of 95% . Avoid the refrigerator, as this alters their texture and taste.
Long-term preservation methods
Freezing: Cut them into quarters or freeze them whole for future use in salads or sauces
Drying: Slice them and let them dehydrate slowly to obtain dried tomatoes rich in flavor.
Preserve: prepare a sweet and colorful sauce or marinated tomatoes for original dishes
