Green Pole Bean
Product Description
Climbing green bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) – offered by Semences WH Perron
The pole bean is a vigorous variety that produces long, crisp pods all season long. This bean is perfect for gardeners who want to maximize vertical space with stakes. Slower to get going than the bush bean, it is however much more productive, providing a generous harvest of tasty pods. Ideal for salads, stir-fries or stews, the pole bean is easy to grow and brings a touch of freshness to your vegetable garden.
Plant height: Up to 3 m with stake
Quantity per pack: 50 seeds

Cultivation method:
Sow directly in the open ground after the last frost, at a depth of 2-3 cm. Space the plants 20 cm apart in the row and leave a space of 100 cm between rows to ensure good air circulation. Use 3-metre high stakes to maximise vertical space and support the climbing plants. The climbing green bean prefers a sunny exposure, loose and well-drained soil, slightly acidic and enriched with organic matter. Maintain constant humidity without excess. Germination occurs in 5 to 12 days at a temperature of 18-22°C. Harvest the young and crisp pods regularly to encourage continued production throughout the season.
