Hippophae rhamnoides 'Orange Energy' is a recent variety of female sea buckthorn, selected for its high vitamin C content and its sustained production of juicy, deep orange berries. Its compact growth and vigor make it a plant suitable for intensive fruit growing as well as edible hedges. Very hardy, resilient to poor soils and winds, 'Orange Energy' is perfect for natural gardens, forest vegetable gardens, and northern crops.
