A Legacy of Flavor and Resilience

'Lacinato' kale seeds, offered by the OSC seed company.

Prized for its long, ruffled blue-green leaves, 'Lacinato' kale, also known as Dinosaur Kale, is an heirloom variety that has been grown since the early 1800s. Ideal for salads, stir-fries, or as baby greens, this kale reaches full maturity in 60 days when harvested as early as 30 days. The sturdy plants can grow up to 1 meter tall and offer exceptional flavor, especially after the first frosts of fall.

Spread: 30 cm.
Plant height: Up to 1 m.
Quantity per pack: Approximately 400 seeds/pkt.
Companion plants: Peas, radishes, onions.
Enemy plants: Beans, strawberries (competition for nutrients).

How to Grow:

Sow directly 1 cm deep in early spring or between June and early July, in rows spaced 60 cm apart. Once the plants have germinated (7 to 10 days), thin to 30 cm apart. Rich, well-drained soils produce the best yields. Cold temperatures improve the flavour of the savoy leaves.

A must-have for lovers of nutritious and versatile greens, 'Lacinato' combines hardiness with exceptional flavor to enrich your dishes and gardens!
