Cultivation method:

Easy to grow, Sunflower 'Large Grey Striped' thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Sow directly outdoors in late May, 6-12mm deep, spacing seeds 7.5-10cm apart. Once seedlings have emerged, thin or transplant to 30-45cm apart.

For an early start, start seeds indoors 2-3 weeks before the last frost in peat pots or Jiffy 7s at 70°F. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors after all danger of frost. Water regularly and fertilize twice during the season with a 15-5-15 granular fertilizer or equivalent. Germination takes 5-10 days.

Add a majestic touch to your gardens with the 'Large Grey Striped' Sunflower , an heirloom variety that will impress with its size and beauty while attracting pollinators and birds.
