Cultivation method :
Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked in spring, continuing every two weeks to ensure a continuous harvest. Plant seeds 3mm deep, spacing rows 45cm apart. Once established, thin out gradually to 15cm intervals. Water regularly for tender, crisp leaves. Harvest by cutting the head off at the base, just below the lower leaves. Be careful of bolting, which makes the leaves bitter.
