Long Island Brussels Sprouts: A Classic with Generous Yields

Long Island Brussels Sprouts (Brassica oleracea), offered by OSC Seeds

This open-pollinated variety remains a favorite among home gardeners for its reliable quality and exceptional productivity. Robust plants reach 60 cm in height and yield 50–100 uniform, dark-green sprouts, 2.5 cm in diameter, along a sturdy central stalk. Introduced in the 1890s, this heritage cultivar, also known as “Catskill,” continues to deliver savory sprouts and dependable yields in North American climates.
