Lonicera × brownii 'Abbotsford', commonly known as 'Abbotsford' climbing honeysuckle, is a vigorous ornamental vine prized for its vibrant blooms and its ability to attract hummingbirds. This variety produces long, flexible stems that naturally twine around trellises, pergolas, and fences, quickly forming a dense and decorative green screen. During summer, the plant is covered in an abundance of bright orange-red tubular flowers whose elongated shape is particularly attractive to pollinators. Its slightly matte bluish-green foliage creates an elegant contrast with the colorful flowers. After flowering, small decorative red berries may appear and are sometimes enjoyed by birds. Very hardy and easy to cultivate, this vine adapts well to ordinary, well-drained soils and prefers sunny locations to encourage generous flowering.
