Farming method

Dwarf beans are warm-season crops that should be sown directly in the garden once all risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up. The ideal soil temperature for germination is between 15 and 29°C .

Sow the seeds at a depth of about 2.5 cm (1 in) in loose, rich, well-drained soil. Space the seeds about 10 cm (4 in) apart in the row, with rows spaced 60 cm (24 in) apart. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination, which usually occurs in 6 to 14 days .

No staking is required for this bushy variety. Regular watering is important, especially during flowering and pod formation, to ensure continuous and uniform production.

Harvesting and maintenance

Harvesting begins approximately 52 to 57 days after sowing . Pick the pods when they are young and tender for optimal quality. Frequent harvesting stimulates the continuous production of new pods.

Maintain a water supply equivalent to 2.5 to 5 cm per week . Avoid working the soil around the plants when they are wet to reduce the risk of disease.
