Space the seedlings 2.5 cm apart in rows 45 cm apart, then thin to 20 cm between plants when the seedlings have 2 to 3 pairs of leaves.
Keep the soil consistently moist , with a regular application of about 5 cm of water per week . Grow in full sun or partial shade . Sow successive batches every 3 weeks until August for continuous production. Thinned seedlings can be eaten as baby greens .
Harvesting and preservation
Harvesting begins around 50 days , but can start earlier by picking leaves. Harvest the outer leaves regularly to encourage regrowth and prevent bolting (going to seed).
