Farming method

Sow directly in the garden once all risk of frost has passed and the soil temperature is between 5 and 27°C. Make shallow rows approximately 1.3 cm deep , spaced 30 to 45 cm apart. Tear the seed tape to the desired length, place it at the bottom of the furrow, water thoroughly, and then cover with fine soil.

Maintain consistent moisture , especially important for seed tapes, without overwatering. Grow in full sun or partial shade for optimal growth. Water regularly, about 5 cm of water per week , and sow successively every 3 weeks until August for a continuous supply.

Harvesting and maintenance

Harvesting begins between 40 and 65 days , when the leaves are young and well-developed. Cut with scissors above the growing point to encourage multiple regrowth and prevent the leaves from becoming too strong.

The leaves can be kept for a few days in the refrigerator, ideally harvested in the morning and used quickly to preserve their freshness and texture.
