Place the tray in a warm location, around 25°C (77°F), out of direct sunlight. Germination is slow and requires patience, but it is very rewarding.
Maintenance and care
After germination, transplant into a slightly acidic potting mix composed of compost, ericaceous compost, and peat, ensuring excellent drainage at the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in a bright location, but avoid direct sunlight during the hottest hours. During the growing season, water regularly so the potting mix never dries out completely, and apply a liquid fertilizer for green plants every two weeks. In winter, more moderate watering is sufficient. Good ambient humidity promotes healthy growth and helps control pests.
Flowering and interest
At the end of summer, the sensitive plant produces small, spherical flower heads in shades of pink or lilac, which contrast beautifully with its delicate foliage. Playful, decorative, and surprisingly easy to care for , Mimosa pudica is a favorite plant that transforms every interaction into a moment of wonder.
