A Playful and Amazing Plant
Sensitive plant 'Mimosa Pudica' ( Mimosa pudica ), offered by Semences OSC.
Fascinating and unique, the sensitive plant is famous for its interactive response: its delicate fern-like leaves fold up at the slightest touch or breath, creating a captivating spectacle. This tender annual also produces pink or purple spherical flowers, adding a decorative touch. Suitable for indoors or warm, humid summer gardens, it grows to 30-45cm in height.
Plant height: 30 to 45 cm
Quantity per pack: Approximately 45 to 50 seeds (150 seeds/gram)
Companion plants: Tropical plants such as philodendron or monstera
Enemy Plants: None specific, but avoid windy locations
Suggested Use: Containers, Planters and Flower Boxes
Cultivation method:
Sow seeds 3mm deep in a light, sandy mix. Maintain a temperature of 26°C for about 15 days to ensure successful germination. Once the seedlings have emerged, place them in bright, indirect light at a cooler temperature of 18°C. This plant prefers a draft-free location and a humid environment, especially when grown outdoors. Fertilize every 15 days with a fertilizer high in potassium to promote healthy growth. Be careful, folding the leaves too frequently can weaken the plant.
Bring a playful and tropical touch to your space with the sensitive plant, perfect for amazing young and old!
