description

Nasturtium Mix (Tropaeolum majus) from seed company Gaia is a vibrant assortment of vigorous annual plants, ideal for brightening up gardens and adding a unique culinary touch.

These climbing or trailing nasturtiums reach a height of 1 to 2 meters and are distinguished by their water lily-shaped leaves and their bright flowers in varied shades, ranging from yellow to crimson red.

Spread : Up to 2 m (climbing or drooping)
Plant height : 1 to 2 meters
Quantity per pack : 20 seeds
Companion plants : Tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers
Enemy plants : Wormwood

Cultivation method:

Nasturtiums prefer well-drained soils rich in organic matter. Plant them in full sun for best blooms, although they will tolerate partial shade. Sow seeds on the surface, press them lightly to anchor them to the soil, and maintain consistent moisture. Germination usually occurs in 7 to 12 days. These plants can be trained on trellises or left free to cover the soil.

Uses and benefits:

Nasturtium flowers provide a peppery, crunchy flavor, reminiscent of watercress, making them perfect for salads, soups, stir-fries, and for garnishing plates. The leaves, also edible, add an interesting visual and taste touch to dishes. In addition to their culinary qualities, nasturtiums attract pollinators while repelling certain pests, thus promoting a healthy garden.

A multifunctional plant:

Gaia Seeds Nasturtium Mix is perfect for gardeners looking for a plant that is both decorative and useful. With their vibrant colors and multiple uses, they beautify your garden while enriching your kitchen.
