An Italian heirloom variety, “Long Purple” produces long, slender eggplants, 20 to 25 cm in length, with dark purple skin and sweet , tender flesh with a mild bitterness. Highly productive, it ripens earlier than many other eggplants, making it an excellent choice for cooler climates. Perfect for stir-fries, grilling, stews, sauces, and Mediterranean recipes.

Planting and maintenance:
